'Ascension' blends Italian Mafia culture with chess showcasing the strategic journey to power & exploring themes of ambition, improvement, & the pursuit of art.

Why 'Ascension' ?

In chess, when a piece reaches the opposite end of the board, it transforms into something more powerful, symbolising the journey of ascension a process of growth, mastery, & evolution. Similarly, in the Mafia, individuals rise through the ranks based on their actions & results, proving themselves worthy of greater influence & responsibility.​

As students of The One Academy Penang, we began as novices, full of potential but with much to learn. Over the course of three years, through hard work, dedication & countless challengers, we have refined our skills & grown stronger in our craft. This exhibition is a celebration of that journey, a reflection of our progress & the heights we have reached.

It marks the beginning of the next phase of our journey, where we step forward with confidence & ambition, ready to leave our mark on the world & showcase the limitless potential that lies ahead.

for your success in hosting the Graduation Exhibition with the theme – “Ascension”! I am honoured to witness the growth and achievements of each of you today.

I wholeheartedly acknowledge the tremendous effort you have put into accomplishing this milestone.

 

Your diligence, hard work, sincerity, and perseverance will undoubtedly bear the sweet fruits of success, as they always have. We hope that you have savoured every facet of your college experience, and the friendships you have cultivated will bring joy and fulfilment throughout your future endeavours.

As you approach this significant milestone, your exhibition is a celebration of your journey and an opportunity to showcase the culmination of your knowledge, skills and creativity. It is with pride that I get to celebrate this moment with you and witness the culmination of your hard work.

I wholeheartedly congratulate each of you for your unwavering dedication and diligence throughout your educational journey here. Your efforts are clearly reflected in the remarkable work you have produced, so take pride in what you have accomplished.

As an educator, it has been immensely rewarding to watch your growth and transformation over the years. Now, with a solid foundation of knowledge, principles, and techniques at your command, you are more than ready to step into a world of boundless opportunities.
